arrow 'RDO Caters Taters for Charity' Raises More Than $28,000 to Grant Wishes
R.D. Offutt Co. and RDO Equipment Company hosted their 9th Annual RDO Caters Taters for Charity Potato Luncheon Friday, Oct. 24 and raised a record $28,772 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Dakota - enough to grant at least four wishes at an average cost of $6,000 each. RDO Community Responsibility Committee members, the organizers of the event, present President and CEO Sharon Mazaheri and Board Vice Chair Krista Andrews (both far right) with the check. arrow Zorells Raises $5K for Make-A-Wish with 'Pop-A-Gem' Fundraiser
During the month of September, Zorells Jewelry customers had the opportunity to purchase and pop a balloon containing a precious gemstone for $20. The gemstones were valued at $50 to $250 dollars each, but inside two of the balloons there were genuine diamonds valued at $1000.   Zorells donated the gemstones and advertising, and all balloon proceeds totaling $5,000 went directly to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Dakota. One Enchanted Evening Gala Raises More Than $45,000

The One Enchanted Evening Gala was a huge success! The 10th annual Fargo gala brought in a record amount this year. The gala, held on September 5, 2008 garnished more than $45,000, which is more than $10,000 from last year's event. Click here to view the photo gallery. raziah

Thanks for Sharing gives Macy’s shoppers the opportunity to do their holiday shopping and also help make wishes come true for children with life-threatening medical conditions. Beginning Sept. 20, shoppers may enroll in the Thanks for Sharing program for $25, enabling them to receive a reward card valued at 10 percent of most of their Macy's card purchases* made through Dec. 31.  The rewards will come in the form of a reward card sent to participants beginning in February 2009.  For each Thanks for Sharing enrollment made, Macy’s will donate $10 to charity, with the first $1.5 million nationwide to benefit the American Heart Association.  Macy's will donate additional funds raised to the Make-A-Wish Foundation® and other charities. *Terms and conditions apply. 14th Annual Target Corporation Golf Tournament Raises More Than $7,000 to Grant Wish

 

Target Corporation in Bismarck adopted the wish of a seven-year-old Bismarck boy who lives with liver sarcoma.

  14-year-old Kaylee of Grand Forks wished for a service dog. Service Dogs of America in Ray, ND trained Kaylee and her new friend Topaz to assist with Kaylee's health condition. According to Kaylee's mother, Kaylee, who copes with a heart defect, and Topaz seem as though they were lifelong friends. kaylee
